While Las Vegas might seem like the ultimate adult playground, there are plenty of family-friendly adventures waiting to be had. Even though Sun Devil Auto mainly specializes in providing you with dependable advice on taking the best care of your car, we also know of a few great family activities in Las Vegas. Be sure to include a few of these in your upcoming travel plans.
Adventuredome Theme Park
You and your kids might enjoy a good theme park, but you’ve probably never enjoyed an indoor theme park, one where it makes no difference if it’s sunny or raining. Adventuredome sprawls five solid acres and is brimming with roller coasters, miniature golf, fair games, and even a 4-D movie experience.
The Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay
Fit in a bit of education time while you’re on vacation by taking your family through the Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay. Besides sharks, you’ll also find stingrays, crocodiles, piranhas, and exotic fish. Be sure you check out the touch pool for a more up-close experience the whole family is sure to enjoy.
Conservatory & Botanical Gardens
If your visit to Las Vegas brings you to the Bellagio Hotel, and, why wouldn’t it? Be sure you take a stroll through the conservatory and botanical gardens, which feature free admission. There you’ll find a blend of architectural and botanical delights arranged in gazebos, bridges, and lighthouses. One of the many great things about the gardens is that there’s always something new, as the theme changes with the season.
Gondola Ride at the Venetian
When it’s time for you and your family to relax your legs and feast your eyes and ears, a gondola ride at the Venetian Hotel makes for a great option. The man-made canals extend indoors as well as out, and your gondolier will likely treat you to a song or two while you and your kids enjoy a 14-minute ride.
The Big Apple Coaster and Arcade
If the roller coasters at the Adventuredome aren’t enough, Las Vegas has a roller coaster winding around the New York New York Hotel. While the ride offers a great view, it also features a 144-foot drop at more than 60 mph, so make sure you and your kids are well prepared. Did we mention the 180-degree twist? For anyone in the family who likes to keep her or his feet on solid ground, there’s an arcade with carnival and video games.
No matter which of the above family-friendly activities you decide on, make sure you swing by a Sun Devil Auto service center before you head out so we can tune up your vehicle. You’re also welcome to call if you’d like to speak to a representative or one of our ASE-certified technicians.
